Baldwin Middle School Graphic Novel Unit
GFFE is proud to approve a grant for a Graphic Novel Unit to be trialed at Baldwin Middle School. Submitted by teacher Emmy Dulak and supported by Principal Doug Hammel, students will expand their writing skills to create their own graphic novels/comics learning features such as:
Building & creating themes
Story arcs
Character creation
Creating backgrounds
Describing actions
Sound effects
Dialogue in speech bubbles
Use of cartoon panels
Graphic weight
This new form of storytelling will hopefully build a love for writing and storytelling in a fun and interactive way. Thank you to teacher Emmy Dulak for going above and beyond for our Guilford students and for partnering with Guilford Fund for Education! We are thrilled to support you and look forward to reading some creative stories.
